Chapter 217 - A Medical Issue

"What are you waiting for? Get her off me," spoke Ji Yao through gritted teeth. Why was everyone slow to react today? Where they on a go-slow or something?

\'AH dage, hurry up before your wife gets seduced by others!!!!\'

This was Rui Li\'s exact thought while she watched Big Hei try to peel Xiaoyu off Ji Yao. Peeling off Xiaoyu was like trying to remove an octopus from a person\'s face. You remove one tentacle and move on to the next only for the previous one to attach itself again.

She might have been soothed but Ji Yao\'s face didn\'t look good at all. He wore a grim expression like a small animal trapped in a bear trap. If it weren\'t that it was Xiaoyu he would have electrocuted her to death by now.

He was like an electric eel and this girl had just challenged his bottom line with her grabby fingers. Haha, the only downside of electrocuting her to death would be that she will be stuck on his body until she is fried so that was a terrible plan.

Old Du had to show up at this point like an evil scientist holding some weird contraption. Normally people would stop him and question him on what he planned to do especially after he walked around the deck giving people handshakes only for half the crew to be knocked out for five days.

But today they couldn\'t hurry him enough. Ji Yao looked like he was going to kill someone if they don\'t separate them in the next second.

Rui Yewan who was watching the showdown couldn\'t help but lean over to his sister and whisper, "So... are we going to mention this to Fei-ge or are we just going to pretend like we saw nothing?"

"Of course, we have to share otherwise how else are we going to make sure Dage doesn\'t leave us behind anymore? Plus it\'s about time they make up," she whispered back already imagining Rui Fei and Ji Yao tied to the hip unwilling to separate even for a second.

"Mn," replied Rui Yewan with a subtle smile appearing at the corner of his lips. Who in this world doesn\'t like a harmonious family?

Meanwhile, inside a wrecked rundown ship, there were loud clattering sounds of heavy tarsus hitting the wooden floor. The creature was pacing up and down while speaking to its self. "It tasted so divine... I was about to eat it but they stopped me. That raw authentic fear seasoned it very well,"

"Why didn\'t we just take a big bite, that would have served as an appetizer?"

"No, no if we did that we won\'t be able to control ourselves. Even if that, that half breed came we will want to eat more,"

"We can eat them all but the one we want to taste most is that brat. Its taste still lingers at the tip of my tongue,"

"Yes, yes..... we will eat him last and saviour that delicious taste,"

"Hehehe..... Let\'s welcome them to the house of horrors where we make their nightmares come true.... was that a good slogan?"

"Very, very good slogan... now let\'s go. We need to separate them and scare the crap out of them."

The clattering slowly faded away with the ship rocking a little. Meanwhile, in a desolate rocky shore with parts of broken ships, a weary figure emerged out of the water crawling to the shoreline.

His hair drenched in water was scattered all over his face as he slumped to the ground on his stomach. His fine robes were scorched and his skin partially burnt. He was in excruciating pain but he didn\'t make a sound as he lay there in the dark.

His uncle was right. That flame was no joke. When he jumped into the water he had changed to his true form. Thinking he could swim deeper into the sea and sort of glide under the flames he swam downwards.

But this so-called eternal flame was not only eternal in name only. It set up a boundary spanning as far as the Qilin so desires. This meant if someone tried to cross the boundary it would expand its distance just to keep that person out.

The intruder will only be left with one choice which is to directly jump into the flames. Being a Huishe, Rui Fei foolishly thought it wouldn\'t be too painful but that was an underestimation on his part. His uncle wasn\'t joking when he said that flame was extremely painful. What made it worse was that he even used his powers to eradicate the flames but it didn\'t work.

Creating a shield to protect his body he dove into the blazing flames. As though that wasn\'t enough the flames weren\'t too pleased about his intrusion. Like they had a mind of their own they increased the heat tenfold but Rui Fei was determined.

He was desperate to get to his white moonlight who left him behind which meant he was more than willing to go through the fire for him. This is why he ended up in such a sorry state.

The flames were especially vicious scorching his skin in so many places but the pain was much deeper than that. It seeped through his skin and burnt his aetherial veins.

It even travelled to his aether to attempt to cripple him but he was no ordinary person. His constitution was especially good dispersing the flames before they reached his core.

The crisis might have been averted but the pain was still there. As he swam he was partially lucid and had no idea where he was. Feeling defeated he closed his eyes as he sank into a comatose state. From afar he looked like a corpse but if one got closer they could see his chest heaving deeply like he was trying to cope with the pain.

While it was lights out for Rui Fei, Ji Yao had finally managed to get this groper off his body. He got up abruptly causing everything around him to spin. Old Du seemed to notice his abnormality so he reached out to stabilise him but Ji Yao resolutely refused.

He slowly walked out of the cabin with everyone clearing a path for him. The severity of his aversion to people seemed to have been heightened. He slowly climbed the stairs at the end of the corridor his figure disappearing from view.

Rui Li nudged Rui Yewan before whispering, "Did you see that? Its..... it\'s like he fell sick after that strangling session."

Rui Yewan also noticed. His brows scrunched as though seriously considering Rui Li\'s words. Everyone knew that you couldn\'t casually touch Ji Yao unless you are tired of living. They knew that apart from Rui Fei no one could approach that frosty face.

But what they didn\'t know was that his aversion to people wasn\'t only a psychological thing. It was also medical. It seemed they had discovered something very important.. Their brother was more like a cure to Ji Yao or rather a human panacea.
