Chapter 135 Gazolth

After leaving his office, Lei Zhen went to his carriage alongside Griselda and Tie Longkun to the outer wall of Yors Castle.

Even though the messenger of the Lizardark came for him, rules are rules. The soldiers are not authorized to permit entry for a monster into the country.

Otherwise, it might cause panic throughout the country if they saw a monster walking through the streets.

"So do you want us to go to the assigned location straightaway?" Griselda asked.

"Not quite. We\'ll still need the scout to search for the location of the black mage and set up a temporary barrier." Lei Zhen replied.

The black mage was simply too slippery, and if it wanted to escape, then all his effort would be futile.

Therefore, he would set up a barrier, preventing anyone from escaping the swamp through the use of magic or formation.

Of course, setting up the barrier would be a pain since it needed to cover a wide range of acres. Unless you have the help of the species inhabiting the swamp who had long adapted to the environment.

"Holy smokes, is that why I was sacrificed to gain the favor of the Lizardark?" Tie Longkun held a shocked expression once Lei Zhen finished explaining why they even bothered heading to the swamp itself.

pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ "Of course, and you better make sure to conceal your appearance and identity well. If you dare to expose yourself and the Lizardark becomes suspicious, then I\'ll make sure you will have a wonderful life in Magnolia." Lei Zhen said in a calm yet deadly tone.

Instantly, Tie Longkun kept his mouth shut and remained silent throughout the ride. He didn\'t know why, but there was a glaring fear imposed on him whenever he heard Lei Zhen\'s kind threat.

As for Griselda, she didn\'t bother to defend Tie Longkun because it was well-known how much of an impulsive swordsman he was.

And to be honest, she would have made the threat even more frightening if she was the one to do it.

Time slowly passed by, and the carriage arrived at the outer wall of Yors Castle.

"You stay inside the carriage, Tie Longkun." Lei Zhen said.

"I\'ll have Howard bring you a mask soon and a new outfit. I don\'t want any mishaps because you didn\'t bother changing your appearance whatsoever." He added.

"Alright, I understand. I won\'t even move a single inch away from this carriage."

"Watch over him, Griselda. His reputation doesn\'t give me much hope or trust either." Lei Zhen turned toward and ordered.

He had gone over the internet to check how bad Tie Longkun was to have zero people wanting to team up with him.

And to his dismay, the news that he read was truly shocking at times that even he could not believe it was possible.

There was a time when he was at a party and everything was going well, but then his swordsman ego took over and ruined the entire expedition, resulting in a full party wipeout as the boss survived with a one percent health point.

If it was just that one particular time, then maybe he could have been forgiven. But no, that was just one of the millions of times that he tried to swing his sword like a little kid that got a new toy.

"Tsk, I\'m a Vice Leader, but I\'m just a babysitter now." Griselda clicked her tongue and muttered. She didn\'t wish to stay in the carriage, but she also knew it was needed.

Lei Zhen didn\'t brood over the matter for long as he was guided by a soldier to go where the messenger of the Lizardark was staying.

Sometime later, they went to a tent that was just built on the spot, mainly to avoid the Lizardark from being spotted by others entering Yors Castle.

The moment the Lizardark saw Lei Zhen, it hurriedly propelled itself toward him, prompting the soldiers to raise their weapons in an alert.

"Stop it, how dare you try to make a move against the Chancellor!"

"Stop right there or we won\'t guarantee what will happen next."

The soldiers hurriedly went in front of Lei Zhen, with some even standing by his side, guarding him against the potential danger.

Meanwhile, Lei Zhen chuckled softly and told the soldiers to relax.

"Relax, people, the Lizardark is merely in a rush and doesn\'t know the rules of how we humans act. Don\'t frighten him." He said calmly, dispersing the soldiers to slowly retract their weapons.

Once the soldiers retreated for the moment despite their vigil still being up, Lei Zhen slowly approached the frightened messenger.

"Apologies for my soldiers\' rude behavior, but they were not used to your folks\' actions." He apologized to him.

The messenger held a dazed expression before shaking his head. "No, it was my fault for suddenly propelling toward you. You can call me Gazolth and I was sent here to inform you that the task you assigned us has been completed."

"Oh? That was surprisingly quick."

Gazolth slithered his tongue for a moment as if that was their way of feeling honored. "The other monsters heard about your plan and knew they no longer had a choice. They would choose survival over their stupid pride."

Lei Zhen nodded his head in agreement.

In terms of courting death, humans tend to be the superior lifeform compared to monsters who know where their limits are at.

"Anyway, you didn\'t just come all the way here to tell me that the task is completed, right?" Lei Zhen asked.

"Yes, our Chief, Jaruk, wished to speak to you before commencing the next phase of your plan. That way we can cooperate with whatever deployment you want."

"Understandable, I was going to meet with your Chief either way so that we would be on the same page."

After conversing with Gazolth for a few more minutes, Lei Zhen tasked the soldiers with escorting Gazolth along their way to the swamp.

\'Black mage, I\'ll make sure to capture you this time.\' Lei Zhen exclaimed inwardly, feeling confident with the two scrolls that Kate had given him earlier.
