Chapter 389 Finally The Semifinals
The duel between Kaizen and Evan somehow comforted the hearts of the spectators. And this was not only because of Evan\'s gesture in surrendering in a friendly manner when he realized he was going to lose, nor just because of Kaizen\'s gesture in letting him know that the battle was already won, but also because of Psyker\'s kindest smile that any of his fans had ever seen.
However, while the first battle of the quarterfinals ended peacefully, delighting the spectators with fair play after an epic fight, the second battle was frightening to say the least.
Everyone was looking forward to the clash between Ryeis and Qeidurth, but no one expected that the paladin would have no chance against the owner of the Crystal Sword.
Qeidurth was literally slaughtered with blows so fast that normal spectators could barely see, and even with her healing and blessing magic, her wounds would not close quickly.
The spectators watched the shock as Ryeis, the owner of the Crystal Sword, delivered swift blows against Qeidurth. His speed and skill with the sword were impressive, and Qeidurth had no chance to defend or counterattack. The audience was torn between applauding Ryeis\' mastery and lamenting the humiliating defeat of Qeidurth, who bravely resisted, but was clearly outnumbered.
Qeidurth\'s blessing was trying to keep pace with the wounds caused by Ryeis, but it was to no avail. The wounds, when they closed, were soon opened, and that was not enough. The paladin was getting weaker and weaker, and so Ryeis gave her opponent no chance, destroying her and defeating her in overwhelming fashion in less than five minutes after the gongs had sounded, leaving her lying on the ground, wounded and defeated.
Despite Qeidurth\'s defeat, the spectators recognized her bravery and courage in the face of such a formidable opponent as Ryeis. Nevertheless, Ryeis\' victory was undeniable, and he was declared the winner of the second battle.
Ryeis seemed angrier than ever, and this time he did not provoke his defeated opponent. Quite the contrary, he cast a look of disappointment at her and raised his crystal sword, bathed in the blood of his last victory, and let out a cry of triumph.
"ARHHH!"
The audience was surprised to see the angry expression on the face of the Crystal Sword Owner, who seemed to have been consumed by a thirst for revenge.
"Kaizen! You will be the next to fall before my sword!" roared Ryeis, his voice laden with fury. He then spared no words to express his animosity towards Kaizen, and his words resounded through the arena, causing a commotion among the spectators.
Kaizen, for his part, remained calm and serene as always, watching the fight from the competitors\' box. He looked at Ryeis serenely, unaffected by the provocation of his next opponent, no matter how strong Ryeis was. He knew that the tournament was an opportunity to test his limits and he was not interested in fueling a rivalry beyond what was necessary, as he did with Teshi.
The tournament judge intervened to calm tempers and ensure that the competition continued in a fair and respectful manner.
Ryeis was warned about his inappropriate behavior, but he still seemed determined to avenge the defeat of his greatest rival, Teshi, by fighting Kaizen, which further increased the excitement in the audience for the semifinals, only there were two battles left.
In the third battle of the quarterfinals, the brave Bloody Lily faced the well-known Taznaar, an experienced player known for his immense talent with fire spells.
Bloody Lily was a skilled swordsman and archer, so she used her dexterity and speed to dodge Taznaar\'s powerful blows while counterattacking with her sword in precise and calculated movements. Taznaar used the overwhelming force of her skills to try to knock out Bleeding Lily, but the skilled swordswoman proved agile and cunning, taking advantage of Taznaar\'s openings effectively. The battle was fierce and intense, with both fighters showing their mastery of the martial arts. However, it was Bleeding Lily who demonstrated exceptional skill, using her unique sword technique and speed to weaken Taznaar without apparent difficulty.
In an impressive final blow, Bleeding Lily landed a sharp blow, leaving Taznaar exhausted and unable to continue. With his victory, Bleeding Lily advanced to the semifinals, celebrating his victory with a confident smile capable of winning the heart of any man in the world.
In the fourth and final battle of the quarterfinals, the arrogant Draken faced the powerful sorceress Xanthea.
Draken, a warrior known for his overconfidence in his own brute strength, underestimated Xanthea\'s magical power from the very beginning of the battle. However, Xanthea, a wise witch, used her magic to create silly illusions, disorienting and confusing Draken with ease. The battle was a display of muscle versus magic, with Draken trying to use his brute strength to defeat Xanthea, while the latter used his magic to toy with his opponent.
In the end, Xanthea\'s wisdom and skill prevailed, and she managed to overcome the brute\'s arrogance. With a powerful spell of darkness, Xanthea launched a final attack that disintegrated Draken.
The crowd was shocked by the defeat of the arrogant warrior, but could not help but admire Xanthea\'s skill and intelligence, which was uniquely beautiful.
With their victories, Bloody Lily and Xanthea joined Ryeis and Kaizen in the semifinals, preparing for even more epic battles in search of the tournament champion title and the legendary rank item. Excitement and anticipation were running high, as Xanthea and Bloody Lily prepared for their battle, the battle between Kaizen and Ryeis was minutes away from its start, just after sunset.
