Chapter 550 Vision (Part 2)

Kaizen was stunned by the revelation of the divine woman called Aelon. His heart raced with the anticipation of finally finding the answers he so desperately craved.

He looked at Aelon, trying to decipher the serene expression on her face, searching for any clue that might help him understand whether she could be trusted or not. There was no way to know what she wanted, nor what she actually was, but did he have any other choice?

"I... I am ready to discover and understand the true purpose of the King\'s Sword," Kaizen replied, determination evident in his voice. "I can trust you."

Aelon nodded with a serene smile, understanding Kaizen\'s resolve.

"Then let us begin." she said, extending her hand in a welcoming gesture. "First, you must understand that the City of Destiny you see is only a vague memory." She said, reaching forward and with a motion like the turning of a key, the festive music in the distance stopped, as did the sound of the city, and the buildings became older and more ancient, dominated by the green of nature again.

"What do you mean?" asked Kaizen, surprised.

Aelon looked at Kaizen with piercing eyes, conveying an aura of ancient wisdom. "That was a glimpse of a time when the city flourished and harbored great knowledge and power. But times have changed, and the city has fallen into ruin, with only fragments of past splendor remaining." She explained, looking at the sight of the now gray city. "The fall of the city was the result of a great conflict between the forces of light and darkness. The sword you know as the King\'s Sword played a crucial role in that event, after all it was the sword given to the strongest warrior in the city."

Kaizen recalled the intense glow of the King\'s Sword and how it felt to wield it.

"However, even all the power of the sword was unable to stop the devastation that befell the city."

"But what attacked the City of Destiny that was so powerful?"

"At the time, the world was undergoing great changes. And the elves and humans who lived in the City of Destiny were some of the most intelligent and powerful in all of Midgard, but also a city-state. So, the Orcs thought that in order not to deal with these people as reinforcements or allies of their enemies in the great war they were already planning, they needed to first eliminate the City of Destiny, in order to also show military power."

Aelon sighed, recalling the tragic events that led to the fall of the City of Destiny.

"The Orcs, led by their ambitious king, unleashed a ferocious attack on the City of Destiny." Aelon continued. "They used brutal strategies and powerful dark magics, seeking to annihilate all who opposed them. The battle was fierce and intense, but even with the King\'s Sword in hand, the strongest warrior in the city could not hold back the overwhelming strength and numbers of the Orcs."I think you should take a look at

Kaizen imagined the epic scene of a battle fought between such powerful forces. He felt a mixture of sadness and anger as he thought of all that was lost.

"The Orcs conquered the City of Destiny and reduced it to ruins," Aelon continued. "They plundered everything of value and left the city abandoned, a shadow of its former splendor. Yet the King\'s Sword still survived. Abandoned among the ruins of the city, it was placed among many other weapons in the Orcs\' looting wagons."

"And what happened next?"

"After the conquest of the City of Destiny, the Orc army set out in search of new victories, spreading destruction and chaos wherever they went. Meanwhile, the King\'s Sword remained lost in the wagons of the Orcs\' loot, traveling through distant lands. However, one day fate intervened. During a journey through some forests, the Orcs\' carriages were ambushed by a group of Dwarven warriors and, as you may know the ingenuity of Dwarves, they managed to steal the Orcs\' loot without losing even one man."

Kaizen\'s eyes lit up upon hearing the intervention.

"Thus, these brave warriors managed to rescue the King\'s Sword from the clutches of the Orcs." continued Aelon. "Skilled as they were, the Dwarves recognized the power of the King\'s Sword and its importance. So, knowing that the sword needed to be protected and preserved, they decided to hide it in a safe place. The knowledge of its exact location was kept secret, passed down only among the most faithful and loyal protectors, and so it remained for hundreds of years."

As Aelon spoke, she stretched both hands forward and, like magic, the whole scene around them changed. Suddenly they were moved into a region whose trees were orange and leaves brittle. A cold wind blew across their faces and they were no longer on top of the hill as before, but inside a carriage, where there was a chest whose lock glowed.

"However, the dwarves could not keep the King\'s Sword forever, of course. So they decided they should give it as a gift to a human king they were negotiating with, as a gesture of good trust. This king was said to carry elven blood in his veins, so the dwarves thought there was no better gift."

The scenery around them follows the change in Aelon\'s narrative, changing scenery.

"The King\'s Sword was then given to the king of Tretidian, a small kingdom that was growing at the time." Aelon continued. "The capital was a place of wisdom and prosperity. However, the darkness was not long in coming and Orcs with corrupted hearts attacked the city weeks after the Dwarves\' visit."

Aelon paused, staring at the distant horizon as memories unfolded in his mind.

"The great evil that manipulated the Orcs was an evil entity unknown at the time, but somehow, perhaps thanks to the elven blood the king carried, the King\'s Sword managed an inexplicable feat, and not only overpowered the tremendous strength of the Orcs this time, but led the First King of Tretidian to the truth, which left the entity behind the Orcs completely enraged."
