Chapter 6087: Armament Temple

Chapter 6087: Armament Temple

Having said that, he became serious and added: “Still hasn’t given up yet.”

“This ghost is still around in the outside world?” She asked softly.

“Yes, and will continue to be active in the future.” He chuckled.

“So Young Noble, you believe this first ghost was a part of the ancient progenitors’ group involved in Old Pact Strike.” She asked for confirmation while feeling emotional.

“No one else would spend the time to clean the battlefield so thoroughly without having a secret to hide, so that’s the crux of the issue.” He said.

“Hiding their identity as a ghost, perhaps they were already suspected.” She said.

“And what’s the best way to maintain this secret?” He asked.

“The dead does not speak.” She answered.

“That might be the reason for the sweep. Now here’s another clue, the highest-grade progenitors cannot clean the battlefield to this extent and leave it undetected by me. Two potential explanations for this, a personal cultivation or a special treasure exceeding the overlord level.” He stroked his chin and continued: “In the history of Three Immortals, only five have this power.”

“That strong?” She shuddered because becoming a primal ancestor was difficult enough, let alone a supreme overlord. So it had to be a legendary immortal?

“More and more interesting, didn’t expect Three Immortals to have someone hiding so well.” He remarked.

He glanced at the horizon and murmured: “Looks like you old geezers have miscalculated, someone still took this step, unable to handle the temptation.”

As for Six-style, she pondered in silence and thought Li Qiye knew who it was at this point. His speculation seemed outrageous but wasn’t out of the question.

As far as she knew, the ancient progenitors were at least primal ancestors, different than others sharing the same classification including immortal-level progenitors.

Their actual power remained unknown but their prestige still echoed loudly across the river of time. Back during their era, even if someone was suspected of being a ghost, solid evidence was required before any accusation. To do so recklessly was slanderous and risked ruining a great cultivator’s reputation.

“Good, we can go to Armament Temple now.” He said with an emphasis on the characters, Armament.

She regained her wits and followed him.

Armament Temple’s appearance attracted a large crowd including desolate gods and emperors.

“Let’s go, Heavenly Wrath is impossible but some materials from it are worth the risk.” An emperor landed in front of the table and said: “They can serve as the foundation for an ancestral weapon in the future.”

Most wanted weapons in Armament but emperors had no interest in this. Only the materials on the same level as Heavenly Wrath interested them.

The temple was magnificently opulent, filled with divine radiance and auras from countless treasures.

A central hall had its walls covered in weapons, each emitting a unique light. Some had a blue glow, others radiated intense cold or unbearable heat waves. However, these embedded weapons seemed to be one with the temple. Forcibly removing them appeared impossible; rumor has it only the most powerful beings could do so.

Therefore, an exchange was required to obtain these weapons. Some experts and ancestors began praying.

“I wish to exchange half of my lifespan for this Earthflame Cauldron.” A desolate god touched the cauldron and prayed.

“Boom!” The mighty cultivator was sent flying while vomiting blood; his request was not accepted.

“I wish to gamble my hope for this heavenly saber.” An ancestor grabbed a blade and became resplendent.

Waves of light pulsed from both him and the weapon. He trembled, seemingly in a perilous contest against the blade.

“Clank!” As the blade released more hums, his shaking intensified.

“Ahh!” Finally, something pulled him into the wall and drained his life, vitality, and lifespan.

When he was reduced to ashes, a faint shadow could be seen on the wall.

Spectators were terrified upon this sight since they finally noticed more shadows. This meant there were more victims like the ancestor.

“How many have died here?” A big shot took a deep breath and scanned the hall.

“This isn’t a charity.” One desolate god said: “All visitors are gambling with their lives, it’s all or nothing.”

Losing the gamble meant becoming a part of the temple. Winning meant obtaining the desired artifact.

Li Qiye and Six-style entered the hall. She took a look and became sentimental: “No wonder why everyone wants the treasures here.”

This treasury was greater or at least comparable to anywhere else in Sin.

Li Qiye chuckled and scanned the area before focusing on a statue.

“That’s Armament Temple Lord, a grand ghost.” Six-style said.
