Daddy! Come Home for Dinner!

Chapter 301: 301: He is Your Father

Chapter 301: 301: He is Your Father

There was a soft texture still carrying some milky flavor.

The contrast with the tender and smooth texture of the eggs was immense. The fried rice was distinct, grain by grain, springy to the tooth, carrying a sour-sweet flavor of tomatoes.

These contrasting tastes mingled together. While being entirely different, they seemed to blend perfectly in the mouth.

Finally, Adrian Zhekova took a sip of the miso soup, sending the last bit of fried rice into his stomach.

“Did you add milk to these eggs?” Adrian Zhekova asked.

“I added a tiny bit of light cream,” Cindy indicated with her fingers, it was really not much, “If there is too much, it would smell unpleasantly milky and even become nauseating. Therefore, I only added a bit to enhance the aroma.”

“The light cream is thicker than milk, which can make the egg solution denser, solidify better at the bottom, and the part in the middle that does not need to solidify, it remains soft and slightly undercooked because of its thickness.” Cindy explained.

Cindy had intentionally reduced the portion for Morgan Zhekova, which was just right for him.

After finishing his meal, Morgan was full, but he was still eyeing the dishes greedily.

He watched as Adrian and Cindy were eating, unfortunately, he was too full to eat anymore.

“Cindy, what are we going to eat for lunch today?” This little fellow, having just finished his breakfast, his belly still full and round, was already thinking about what to eat for lunch.

It reminded Cindy of the thing she had discussed with Adrian, that they were going to tell the little guy about today.

Also, there was the promise she made to Adrian, about going back to his place.

They might not even be home for lunch.

Cindy looked at Adrian, waiting for his opinion.

“Morgan, after your meal, clean up a bit. We have something to tell you,” said Adrian, directly.

Morgan, young but smart, was quite mischievous.

So, Adrian didn’t treat him like a typical child.

He conversed with him like an adult, treating Morgan as an equal.

Morgan, with his big round eyes, first looked at Cindy, then at Adrian.

Finally, his eyes returned to Cindy’s face: “Cindy, so you finally found a stepdad for me!”

“Cough! Cough-cough-cough-cough!” Cindy was just stuffing the last mouthful of fried rice and did not expect Morgan to say such a thing. Cindy was choked all at once, having food lodged in her throat.

Adrian hurriedly picked up the soup to feed her.

Adrian felt relieved to see Cindy feeling better after drinking the soup, and then he said to the little guy helplessly: “What stepdad? What nonsense are you talking about?”

Morgan pouted, thinking to himself that Adrian’s feelings for Cindy were evident.

Isn’t he trying to be his stepdad? Or does he want to be one of those scumbag men?

Cindy finished eating as well.

She cleared up the plates, put them in the dishwasher, and then returned.

By then, Adrian had brought Morgan to the living room.

As Cindy was not present, Adrian didn’t start speaking right away.

He waited until Cindy returned.

Cindy sat next to Morgan.

Adrian, however, stood up and sat directly on the coffee table, facing them.

It would be more convenient this way when it was time to talk.

Cindy looked at Adrian, seeing Adrian nod at her.

Morgan noticed all these.

The two made him a bit nervous.

At that moment, Cindy said, “Morgan, you can’t call him Uncle anymore.”

Seeing the little fellow looking back at her with an especially puzzled look.

Cindy, with a fluttering heart, smiled gently at him, “He is your dad.” Who would have thought? Morgan didn’t appear shocked at all..
