Undead God: I Can Extract Everything

Chapter 375: 214 Inheritance Altar

Both Dean McKenzie and the Strong Grass Alliance were willing to cooperate.

The next day, the Strong Grass Alliance mobilized an army of tens of thousands, preparing to set off towards the Golden Plain.

Kael looked at the massive army with a sinking heart.

To his shock, there wasn’t a single seven-turn among the army of tens of thousands.

What’s the use of such an army?

Beyond revealing their forces, Kael couldn’t perceive any positive impact it would have.

So, he politely refused this so-called army, and asked for a guide instead.

Kael initially just wanted a guide familiar with the terrain, but to his surprise, Strong Grass herself volunteered, claiming that no one in the Alliance knew the Golden Plain better than she did.

Considering her leadership over an alliance with millions of members, Kael was rather flattered having Strong Grass as a guide.

However, when he saw her gaze fixated on Dean McKenzie the entire time, Kael figured that her ulterior motive wasn’t exactly to guide him.

A glance between Dean McKenzie and Strong Grass made Kael nearly burst into laughter, despite his disciplined demeanor.

Just the mental image of what could transpire between two-meter-tall Strong Grass and Dean McKenzie, who was barely one meter and eighty, was rather amusing and surreal.

While trying to stifle his laughter, Kael was caught by Dean McKenzie’s gaze: “Are you thinking about something inappropriate?”

“No, absolutely not, ha ha…ha ha…”

Kael was adamantly denying it while simultaneously failing to contain his laughter.

Dean McKenzie clenched his fists, ready to drag Kael away right then and there.

Registering the murderous intent in Dean’s gaze, Kael quickly closed his mouth.

“I won’t laugh anymore, I swear I won’t laugh anymore!”

Only when Dean saw Kael’s sincere promise did he put away his threatening glare.

Subsequently, under the guidance of Strong Grass, their team stepped foot onto the Golden Plain.

It must be acknowledged that while Strong Grass’s interest in being a guide was rooted in Dean McKenzie’s presence, she was nonetheless qualified for the job.

Ever since they entered the Golden Plain, she had a clear understanding of every little detail along the way.

She was well versed with the geographical features, knew where different monsters dwelled, and was familiar with all the shortcuts.

It was apparent from her proficiency that she visited the Golden Plain quite often.

And, indeed, she did.

In recent times, Strong Grass spent most of her time in the Golden Plains, in hopes of a chance for advancement.

Her instincts told her that the Golden Plain hid a means for her to inherit further power, an endeavor she had pursued countless times with no success.

She was only a six-turn and could fair fight against seven-turns, but in the Golden Plain, seven-turns were not the most powerful beings.

There was always an insurmountable barrier she couldn’t break.

This time, apart from leading the way for Dean McKenzie, she also saw an opportunity to break through that barrier.

In line with this thought, Strong Grass couldn’t help but steal a glance at Dean McKenzie.

A look that didn’t escape Dean, whose gaze then met hers. Seeing him looking back, Strong Grass immediately looked away like a startled rabbit.

This left Kael dumbfounded.

After all, he had previously seen Strong Grass, the powerful ruler of the SwiftWind Goblin Tribe and the main force behind the Golden Plain Alliance.

Her aura was overwhelming even for him, forcing him to acknowledge her status as a powerful Queen-like figure.

However, in front of Dean McKenzie, she had turned into a shy figure, who couldn’t even hold his gaze.

In response, all Kael could say was, love is indeed a magical thing.

It could traverse species and completely drown one’s self!

“I think you should consider her. Sure, she might not meet our aesthetic standards but amongst Goblins, she is definitely a beauty. Besides, she is talented and influential!”

“I think you two are quite a match!”

Kael couldn’t help but tease Dean McKenzie.

Dean McKenzie just glanced at him but didn’t say a word. Nevertheless, he already had a plan on how and where to bury Kael.

Unaware of Dean’s plans, Kael went over to Strong Grass’ side to tease her about playing matchmaker.

Even though Dean McKenzie knew that Kael was just trying to bond with Strong Grass, who commanded over millions of believers, he felt that Kael was using the wrong approach.

After all his teasing, a cold look from Strong Grass instantly shut him up.

Intuition told Kael that if he continued to trust Strong Grass, she would put herself in her hands.

While Strong Grass would blush from a mere glance from Dean McKenzie, she wouldn’t bat an eye while quartering him.

Although he had a Holy Light Knight group backing him, that might not be of any use against an infuriated woman. Not to mention, they still needed her to guide them.

Talking about that, the first time Dean McKenzie entered the duplicate domain, it was Strong Grass who familiarized him with the environment.

As a guide, Strong Grass was exceptionally proficient.

Under her guidance, their journey was smooth, and they didn’t encounter any monsters. In less than a day, their group had reached the depths of the Golden Plain..
