Chapter 332 Answers

Jake frowned when he heard that. He had imagined that two systems were in place, one that helped the people of that current universe and the same one that helped people like Jake and the people of that universe as well. Still, hearing someone else confirming his suspicions was that weird… Moreover, to think that another Earth existed in that universe… he had forgotten about that, but it made sense. Still, that only complicates things.

"Where are you?" Jake asked. "I want to see your face while you say those things… don\'t make me destroy this whole structure."

"I was imagining that you were going to destroy it anyway. Isn\'t that a part of your mission?"

"If you knew that, why did you ask the first question?" Jake asked.

"I would look suspicious if I were to say too much, don\'t you think? Nevertheless, you can use the elevator, and it will take you straight to my location."

"You\'d better not try anything suspicious. If you try, I will hunt down everyone that left this spaceship," Jake said.

"I know that one trick or two won\'t stop you, and my mission is over, so there is no reason for me to do such a thing."

An elevator suddenly appeared from the ground, and some holes appeared in the floor and ceiling of the building. It seemed that the place even had objects that could levitate like that. In any case, Jake wanted to test the owner of that voice, so he jumped into the elevator. Still, nothing happened, and he eventually showed up in a dark room. On the other side of the place, he found a weird water tank… it seemed that those were being used everywhere. Still, Jake forgot about that when he saw a brain inside the tank.

"Are you surprised, traveler? I am the administrator of this spaceship, and my creator named me the administrator. For someone able to create something like me, he certainly didn\'t have much creativity, don\'t you think?"

"I was expecting to see all kinds of lifeforms, but you certainly looked the most different from the others, and I had seen a lot of things," Jake said. "It seems that you have been around for quite a while, so if you tell me what I want to know, I will let you live."

"I imagined that your mission was to get rid of me… the data about the second system is indeed lacking since this doesn\'t make sense."

"My mission was to protect that world from your invasion," Jake said. "Let\'s start with that. Why did you order the invasion of that world?"

"To maintain something of this size, resources are needed. We have been going around collecting resources from many worlds, and some worlds only have things that we need when they have intelligent life."

"You also treat the people that you capture like resources?" Jake asked. "My opinion of you is getting better and better."

"Do you want to know about the history of our people? My creator made me because we were losing a war against the invaders in our world, and without any other option, we had to abandon it. Before that, we were treated like slaves, worms, and even worse. While we don\'t treat the enemies that we captured like heroes, we do a lot better than our first enemies. Or we did it until you defeated us."

"I guess you either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain," Jake said.

"You saw our troops attacking our city, but you don\'t see us destroying the whole place. As you know, we could have just landed there to defeat them."

That was a good point, but Jake would be fooled by that alone. They picked a fight with a much weaker enemy, and they also did something that their enemies did with them. Even if they had been more reasonable, it didn\'t change the fact that they were ruining many lives for the sake of resources.

"Considering all that, I can understand why you would show such a dubious expression. I offered the people here the best method to get what we need, but as you can see, I am not a person like you all, and I can only offer the best methods without caring about what people like you would care."

"That makes sense; now tell me what you know about this other system that you mentioned," Jake said.

"What do you know about it?"

"Almost nothing, aside from the fact that it tends to favor the weaker side during wars…" Jake said while recalling that in some missions, he had the option to join either side.

"I never talked with someone in your position, so it would be better if I hear more about things from your perspective. If you refuse to do so, I can only show things from my perspective."

That was another good point, but Jake didn\'t feel that eager to tell much from his side. That brain could learn a lot and decide to hide things from him based on what it learns. Or worse, give him false information… still, Jake didn\'t have much information when the system on his side wasn\'t something he could talk with. There were many things that could happen, but...

"I suppose I can tell what I know and then check if this thing perspective is suspicious or not…" Jake thought while furrowing his eyebrows.

In the end, Jake decided to reveal everything he knew. It wasn\'t like those pieces of information were that hard to find, after all.

"Based on the data that you just offered, I can only conclude that both systems have some similarities, but the one that helps us is more wild in nature and focuses on the survival of the fittest. At the same time, yours offers alternative options to keep the balance in several worlds and situations. It is like it was created by someone, unlike ours, that seems like a natural phenomenon."
